Journalists and Horace Mann School Students Discuss Upcoming Elections

Students can play an important role in the upcoming elections, even if they are too young to vote, noted two prominent political commentators in a discussion on the 2016 presidential race at Horace Mann School on October 11, 2016. "Even if you can't vote this year there are ways you can participate in the elections, not only on the national level but on the local and state levels, in helping to get out the vote, especially among older teens and people in their 20s and 30s who aren't as committed to voting as older people are," said David Leonhardt '90 an Op-Ed columnist for The New York Times and the paper's associate editorial page editor, who won a Pulitzer Prize in 2011 for his columns on the financial crisis and its aftermath.
