  • Solar System Exploration  Excellent visual representation of the planets and their moons in the solar system.

  • University of Texas McDonald Observatory  Best times to view the planets. Click on planet name to link to more planet information.

  • Lunar and Planetary Observation  This site does not contain useful information about the planets but is great for viewing the motion of comets and asteroids, partial rotations of planets, the dance of Galilean satellites, both solar and lunar eclipses, and close-up views of the myriad shadows during sunrise over a moonscape.
