Directions to Horace Mann School
The 18 acre Horace Mann Upper, Middle and Lower Divisions campus overlooks Van Cortlandt Park in the Fieldston-Riverdale section of the Bronx. Limited visitor parking is available. Horace Mann Security will provide parking instructions on campus.
Getting to Horace Mann by Subway
Take the Broadway #1 train to Van Cortlandt Park and 242nd Street (last stop). Exit to Broadway and proceed north to street just before Burger King (Manhattan College Parkway). Make left and then an immediate right. Notice hill (Post Road leading to 246th Street).
Middle/Upper Division:
The Middle and Upper Division campus is at top of hill on your right. Turn right at the iron gates into the parking circle. The Middle and Upper Division Admissions Office is directly in front of you in Spence Cottage (#1 on the Campus Map).
Lower Division:
Walk up hill to Tibbett Avenue. Make a left onto Tibbett Avenue. The Lower Division entrance is the fifth driveway on the left, 4440 Tibbett Avenue (between #15 and #16 on the Campus Map).
Getting to Horace Mann by Car (Google Maps)
From West Side of Manhattan: Take the West Side Highway north. Pay toll crossing Henry Hudson Bridge. Continue on Henry Hudson Parkway to 246th Street exit. Turn right at light. Continue on 246th Street for approximately five blocks.
Middle/Upper Division:
Cross Tibbett Avenue. The Middle and Upper Division campus is on your left. Continue to the first left (through the iron gates) into the parking circle. The Middle and Upper Division Admissions Office is directly in front of you in Spence Cottage (#1 on the Campus Map).
Lower Division:

From Saw Mill Parkway: Proceed on the Saw Mill River Parkway South as it becomes the Henry Hudson Parkway. Exit at 246th Street. Turn left at light and continue for approximately five blocks.

From Major Deegan (87) North or South: Exit at Manhattan College and Van Cortlandt Park South. From either north or south turn right at end of ramp and proceed to Broadway and elevated train. Bear right onto Broadway and continue to end of elevated structure. Turn left at light before Burger King (Manhattan College Parkway). Take an immediate right and continue up hill behind Burger King (Post Road). Make left onto 246th Street.

The Alumni House and Development Office is located at 4401 Tibbett Avenue.
The Nursery Division is located at 55 East 90th Street between Madison and Park Avenues in Manhattan.

Directions from Riverdale
Take the Saw Mill River Parkway North to Route 684 North. Follow Route 684 to Route 84 East (Danbury, CT). Stay on 84 East for approximately 26 miles to Exit 15 (Southbury, Woodbury). Go down the ramp and turn left on to Route 6. Follow Route 6 for about 5 miles to the intersection of Route 47. Turn left on to Route 47 and go about 1 mile to Route 132. Bear right on to Route 132 and follow it for about 4.3 miles to Carmel Hill Road North (look for a grass island in the road). Turn left on to Carmel Hill Road North and go 0.7 miles to a driveway on your left, 121 Carmel Hill Road North, Bethlehem, CT. Follow the driveway for 1.3 miles until it ends.
Alternate route:
The Cross County Expressway to the Hutchinson Parkway to route 684 north or the Major Deegan to 287 East to 684 North.
