Class of 1971 Finally Celebrates 50th Reunion

On a warm and sunny May 21st, members of the Class of 1971 returned to campus – some for the first time in 51 years – to gather for their Golden Anniversary Celebration, which had been cancelled during the global pandemic.

The rescheduled 50th Reunion was hosted by Dr. Tom Kelly, Head of School, under a tent next to Alumni Field. The Saturday event featured welcoming remarks by Dr. Kelly followed by a walking tour of the school’s newest facilities, including Lutnick Hall, the Jeffrey H. Loria Family Aquatic Center, and Friedman Hall. After the conclusion of the tour, refreshments and a seated luncheon were enjoyed by all.

The classmates had a terrific time updating each other on their life experiences, sharing remembrances, and recounting anecdotes about their years at HM. All agreed that it was the enthusiastic efforts of 1971 Reunion Committee members Steve Brown ‘71 and Elliot Konopko ‘71 that made the experience such a success. Thank you, Steve and Elliot!
