Horace Mann Magazine covers HM’s international involvement, in print and online at http://bit.ly/raoxqd

Horace Mann School students and alumni are involved with international issues through their education and their work around the world. The Spring/Summer issue of Horace Mann Magazine describes how Horace Mann students and teachers are connecting with their peers around the world through new technology and initiatives, and about how alumni serve around the world as physicians, professors, philanthropists, as journalists, and in the Foreign Service. Some alumni are involved with foreign policy, and two young alums, Chris Altchek ’05 and Jake Horowitz ’05 recently launched PolicyMic.com, a news and opinion website popular among young people around the world.

As Horace Mann School alumni, students, families, faculty and staff enjoy summer travel during these last weeks before the new school year readers can learn about venues where HM alums are serving up great food as chefs, owners or managers. The magazine also includes all the usual features: News of the School; the Alumni Bookshelf; and, of course, Class Notes.

The print edition of Horace Mann Magazine is in the mail. Our online version is available via NXTBook and on mobile devices. When you read an article about an alum whose organization, or eatery, is featured in this issue, clicking on the link named in the article will bring you directly to their site so that you can learn more about what your friends are doing these days.

We hope you enjoy the print edition of this issue, as well as our online edition, which you can access at http://bit.ly/raoxqd. As always, please keep in touch and update us with your news.
