During his internship, Kofi (pictured on the right) gained firsthand experience in a professional environment, beginning each day with assignments involving research, financial modeling, and presentations on potential investment opportunities. Presenting his work to colleagues taught him the importance of communicating ideas clearly and explaining his conclusions. He was also surprised by the pace of the workplace, the level of collaboration, and the responsibility given to interns, which made the experience with Canvas Investment Partners feel like a genuine professional opportunity.

The most important lesson Kofi took away was the value of building strong relationships and treating everyone with kindness and respect. He learned that asking questions, listening to experienced colleagues, and learning from others can be just as valuable as developing technical skills. He encourages future HM students and alumni to approach the Summer Internship Program with an open mind and a willingness to try new things, emphasizing that the program offers an opportunity not only to gain practical experience and explore careers, but also to build meaningful professional relationships.
