Campus During COVID-19
What does in-person learning at Horace Mann School look like during a pandemic?
Under Dr. Kelly's leadership, HM accomplished the impossible, safely welcoming back more than 1,700 students and 350+ employees last September in the midst of a pandemic, after an extremely busy summer of non-stop planning.
It was the herculean efforts of our Facilities Department, nurses, and medical consultants, who examined, assessed, and adapted every inch of HM's physical plant to the post-COVID era, combined with the hard work of HM's essential school employees, that made the ambitious goal of returning to campus a reality.
Life on campus during COVID not only looks different. It feels different. There is a new appreciation for being together and a sense of gratitude for the relationships we share because of our school.
