Recruited Athletes from the Class of 2024
Seven members of the Class of 2024 were recruited by colleges for their athletic prowess.
John Hiller ’24 will be playing Division I golf at Duke University.
Jojo Mignone ’24 will play on the women’s rugby team at Harvard University.
Jane Offit ’24 was recruited by the women’s soccer team at Cornell. The 5’7” defender has played soccer in school and for the club Players Development Academy. She captained Horace Mann School’s NYSAIS state championship team in 2023.
Mariel Ratner ’24 is a Division I rowing recruit who will attend Brown this fall.
Luca Ruta ’24, who has been playing soccer since he was two years old, was recruited by Williams for their Division III team.
Wyatt Silverman ’24, a standout lacrosse player, will have a spot on Haverford College’s Division III lacrosse team next year.
Julia Werdiger '24 will join the Yale University Division I women’s tennis team as one of two new recruits representing the Class of 2028. A recent article on yalebulldogs.com by Tim Bennett summarized:
Before Yale: Reached a high ranking of No. 12 nationally in the tennisrecruiting.net Class of 2024… National Indoor Girls 16s champion… L2 Girls 18s finalist… Girls 18s doubles finalist… L3 Girls 16s and 18s champion… Blue-Chip recruit.
Personal: Has played piano since age of 6… Editor in chief of high school sports publication For The Win… Mother played tennis at Harvard.
