Faculty and Staff Honored for Years of Service
Gregory Cesar, who teaches chess to HM's youngest cubs, was honored for his 20 years of service.
At the annual Faculty, Staff, and Trustee Dinner this spring, 44 HM employees were honored for their service to Horace Mann School of 10 to 35 years.
Carol Ann Downey (LD) and Mary Wall (LD) were recognized for 35 years of service.
Four employees were honored for 30 years of service: Alice Friedman (ND), Cara Moran (LD), Nafie Shelly (Business Office), and Wendy Steiner (UD).
For 25 years of service, appreciation went to Rebecca Bahr (UD), Jonathan Eshoo (LD), Monica Merlo (LD), Evan Miller (Flik), Gloria Rios-Santana (Business Office), Hugo Rodriguez (Flik), Natasha Rubirosa (MD), Peggy Seton (Admissions), Caroline Surhoff (LD), Jason Torres (UD), and Charles Worrall (UD).
Matt Russo was recognized for 20 years of service.
Eight HM-ers were honored for 20 years of service: Eva Abbamonte (MD), Michelle Amilicia (MD), Gregory Cesar (ND), Meibell Joffe (ND), Jennifer Little (UD), Fiona Russo (LD), Matthew Russo (UD), and Manual Reyna (JeanCare).
Marking 15 years of service were Michael Bomwell (MD/UD), Frank Cola (Facilities), Lionel C. Garrison (UD), Katharine Rudbeck (MD), Andrew Samuels (MD), Marissa Starr (LD), Mahtab Syed (Public Safety), and Maria Valencia (UD).
Employees honored for 10 years of service included Ellen Bales (UD), Meagan Bell (ND), Rachel Cooper (MD), Ken Donnelly (ND), Lauren Greenberg (LD), Gordon Jensen (Facilities), Amir Khosrowpour (MD/UD), Sarah McIntyre (UD), Glenn Smith (Public Safety), Casey Spellman (ND), and Emily Straus (UD).
Maria del Pilar Valencia received honors for 15 years of service in the World Languages program.
