Dorr Family Picnic Planned for September 17th
For the first time in two years, the extended HM community will come to celebrate the experiential citizenship-building curricula that defines John Dorr Laboratory. Alumni, current students, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, administrators, and friends, along with their families, are all welcome at this fun-filled afternoon in the Berkshire foothills. Highlights include live music, a 200-foot climbing wall, campus tours by horse-drawn hayrides, pony rides, face painting, and hikes amid the natural beauty of Dorr’s 320 acres of woods, fields, streams and ponds. A complimentary lunch will be served from noon to 3:00 pm. This year’s picnic will feature a special panel discussion with Head of School Dr. Tom Kelly and Wendy Reiter, Director of the HM Parent Institute.
Horace Mann School offers round-trip bus transportation. Buses will depart promptly at 10 a.m. from the corner of West 246th Street and Tibbett Avenue. Buses will leave Dorr at 4 p.m. and return to HM. There will be no bus service from Manhattan. Reservations are required. Please indicate if you would like to reserve seats for your party on the bus.
Pre-registration by September 12th is required to attend.
