Our fall newsletter traditionally starts with greetings from “The Hill” and an affable affirmation that Horace Mann School is, once again, off to another fantastic school year. However, I would be remiss if I did not first offer, on behalf of HM, our heartfelt compassion to all alumni who have been impacted by the tragic events in the Middle East.
In the days and weeks following October 7th, HM first focused on the safety and emotional well-being of students and employees and then resolved to turn the Israel-Hamas war into opportunities for dialogue and learning. The numerous programs and initiatives HM has held and will sponsor in the coming weeks and months are detailed in this newsletter’s article, HM Pivots to Address a World in Crisis.
As we hope for an end to the violence and the suffering, we in the Alumni Office remain dedicated to helping alums, like you, connect and support each other, and gain strength from the unifying force of your shared history.
Warmly,
Kristin Lax P ’22,’26
