Alumni Council Elects New Leadership Team

The HM Alumni Council, the governing body of the Alumni Association, elected a new leadership team at the start of the 2023-2024 academic year. The Council is responsible for providing its members, friends, and guests opportunities to interact with the school, promote common interests, raise funds for the Student Lunch Initiative (an important part of HM’s financial aid program), and participate in social and educational events.

Ephram Lustgarten '96, who previously held positions as secretary and vice president, will serve a three-year term as the new president, with the option to run again for a second term. He is the Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives at Global Holdings Management Group in New York. Ephram holds a BA in ethics, politics, and economics from Yale and an MBA from The Wharton School. His wife, Sara Lustgarten, is a member of the Class of 1998, and their two daughters are enrolled in HM’s Lower Division.

Lindsay Kane '02 has been elected vice president. She is a corporate partner at the Manhattan law firm Moses & Singer. Lindsay graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and received her JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. She and her husband, HM alum Peter Kane '03, have a son who is a student at the Lower Division and a three-year-old daughter.

Robert Gould '03 is serving as secretary. He is managing director at Meritage Group. He received an AB in economics from Princeton and an MBA from The Wharton School. Rob and his wife, Alexis Gevanter, have two sons who attend Horace Mann School’s Lower Division.
