Mindich Family Center for Community Values and Action Seeks HM Alumni Involvement
Here are two opportunities for connecting with current HM students through service learning:
-
CCVA is seeking HM alumni experts for the 12th Grade Service-Learning Day conference on March 3, 2022. The theme is, "Environmental Justice and Stewardship: Exploring Sustainable Practices and Working as a Collective." A myriad of topics will be considered during this grade-wide conference, including: environmental health and literacy, urban community gardens, food sovereignty, asthma trends, sustainability, community refrigerators, and waste management.
- The CCVA is eager to connect with HM alumni who are civically engaged and are addressing different issues through their schooling, career, and/or personal endeavors.
If you are interested in participating in the conference and/or working with current students in other capacities, please email Dr. Kimberly Joyce-Bernard, Director of CCVA, at kimberly_joyce-bernard@horacemann.org.
