Alumni Council
The Alumni Council is the governing body of the Horace Mann Alumni Association. The Council provides members with a vehicle through which they can maintain relationships with the school, promote common interests, raise funds, and participate in social or educational events. The Council has a wide range of participants and levels of activity and holds formal meetings at least five times per year. Its membership has experienced significant growth over the years and currently includes graduates from the Class of 1963 through the Class of 2017.
Alumni Council committees include: Careers, Young Alumni, the Alumni Council Benefit, the Award for Distinguished Achievement, Homecoming, Service Outreach, and Social Media. Annually, the Council confers the Alumni Association Award for Distinguished Achievement. It also plans and organizes several events each year, such as the Winter Celebration Reception, Spring Benefit, guest speakers, and Community Service Day. The Council also participates in Homecoming annually.
