Financial Aid Applications 2026-2027

Horace Mann School uses the Clarity Financial Aid application system. Both custodial and non-custodial parents must complete the required paperwork.  All information provided is kept strictly confidential.

2026-27 Academic Year Financial Aid Application Deadline: November 15, 2025

Note the same Financial Aid application deadline, November 15, 2025, applies to both current HM families and families applying to HM for the first time.

The Horace Mann School Financial Aid application information is now available in Clarity. To get started, families create an account with Clarity. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $65 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. We suggest that parents/guardians wait to complete Financial Aid application materials until early October to ensure that the information provided is as current as possible.

This year, Clarity is introducing a new Enhanced Tax Verification (ETV) process. This new process will enable the school to receive the required tax documentation more quickly. In addition, while enrolled families must complete a Clarity application each year they wish to be considered for Financial Aid, the ETV process must only be completed once every three years.

After you complete and submit your Clarity Application, you may need to return to your Clarity Dashboard to upload some additional documentation.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Get Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish. You can learn more about Clarity at one of their Fall Webinars.

As noted above, both custodial and non-custodial parents must complete the required Financial Aid paperwork. If the non-custodial parent is absent, the custodial parent requesting a waiver of the required documents must complete the form at the link below (also available in Clarity), and submit it to the school via email or uploaded to the Clarity dashboard with a third party letter, as noted on the form.
