In addition to our open houses, applicants who interview in-person will have the opportunity to tour the campus with our student ambassadors on the day of their interview. The student ambassadors will give you a great sense of the excitement that is felt at HM every day.

Please enjoy exploring our website. Take a look at our virtual tour and campus map which will give you a sense of the physical layout of the school.

Lion Talks Zoom Sessions

Thank you for considering Horace Mann School as a potential school for your family! At the core of HM’s mission is the importance of fostering inclusion while also supporting students from all types of backgrounds. To this end, during Lion Talks, we will be talking about the diverse tapestry of kids that makes HM a wonderful place, in addition to the initiatives that the school engages in to make sure that different identities and interests are recognized, discussed and celebrated at our school. Whether talking about race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, socioeconomics or seeing yourself as a theater kid or STEM kid or athlete, our goal is to talk about the cross section of the HM family that make it a special place.

While the admissions team and our student & parent ambassadors are always happy to talk with prospective families about these issues at our broader admissions events, we believe that hearing from students and families with a focus on these issues would be invaluable.

We hope that you take advantage of the opportunity to hear directly from some of our parents and students who make Horace Mann School such a special place. Please visit the Horace Mann School Ravenna page in order to sign up for our Zoom sessions. They will be available under events. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Spring Tours

In the spring, we host tours of our campus led by our current students during school hours from early April through mid-May. We are pleased to report that we will have in-person tours of the middle and upper division campus in the Spring of 2025. For those that won't be able to visit in the spring, and while there is nothing like seeing the HM campus in person, we are fortunate enough to have a comprehensive virtual tour that will give you a sense of what the campus looks like.

Our Spring tours are designed for those interested in the admission to Horace Mann School for Fall 2026. In order to sign up for a spring tour, you will have to create an account on Ravenna Hub at the link above and start a late application for Fall 2025. This will give you access to the system and give us the ability to know who is interacting with our ambassadors. Remember, you are creating an account and starting the application, not submitting it. There is no cost to participate in a panel. If you are interested in submitting a late application, please do.

Families interested in participating in one of panels should call the admissions office to schedule after you have created an account. The tours are open to those interested in the Nursery-11th Grade process. Please call 718-432-4100.

If you have questions about the admissions process or the school please feel free to email us at admissions@horacemann.org. If you would like someone to give you a call, please include your phone number and a member of the admissions office will gladly call you back.
