Algebra Skills Workshop

This one-week Algebra skills workshop will help students strengthen their math skills and problem-solving abilities. The workshops will cover topics such as factoring, simplifying rational expressions, operations with fractions, general number sense, properties of exponents, linear equations, systems of equations, word problems, and quadratic equations. Students will receive a guided lesson reviewing important skills expected of them as they progress into Algebra 2 and elective math courses. They will practice these skills throughout the day with exercises, “quizzes,” puzzles, and games. At the end of the week, students will be sent home with a workbook (with solutions) so that they can continue their practice during the summer and/or into the fall.
