Middle Division Summer Academy

The Horace Mann School Middle Division Summer Academy is a two-week program where rising sixth through eighth graders can participate in a wide variety of courses, ranging from arts/media and STEAM/applied science to language/humanities and wellness/life skills. Students may join us for one or both weeks but can only select one course per week and cannot repeat courses. We hope your student will join us for an engaging and inspiring summer experience!

Full information, including the instructor, course description, grade level(s), schedule, and cost, are listed below in our course catalog. Courses will run dependent on enrollment and are first-come, first-serve.

Grades

Open to all Horace Mann School students entering Grades 6-8 this fall

Dates

Week 1: June 15-18, 2026 (We are closed on June 19 for Juneteenth)
Week 2: June 22-26, 2026

Schedule

Full-Day (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) or Half-Day (9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)

Tuition

$450/week for Full-Day and $225/week for Half-Day

Payment is accepted only via ACH transfers. Checks dropped off at the Middle Division Office will not be accepted.
Students who withdraw prior to May 11, 2026 will receive a 50% refund.
No refunds will be issued after May 11, 2026.

Financial Aid

A limited amount of financial aid may be available to current financial aid recipients or those approved for financial aid for the 2026-27 academic year, depending upon course enrollment. Families requesting financial aid should register but not submit payment until given direction by the Financial Aid Office. When a determination is made regarding availability by course, the aid recipient's family will be notified of the amount, if any, of aid available and can then make a final decision about whether to enroll and submit payment. Lunch

Lunch will be provided.

Transportation

Please note that families will need to organize their own transportation, as HM will not provide bus service. An optional contact spreadsheet will be shared once enrollment is complete, in case families wish to coordinate carpools.
