Earlier this spring, the Upper Division wrapped up the annual Student Body President elections. Four pairs of juniors presented their platforms to the Upper Division and then took questions from the audience.  Among the ideas proposed were: making vending machines more available to students, putting copies of the faculty’s schedules online, and increasing the number of community service opportunities.  Charles, my running mate, and I were fortunate to be elected; we are honored to have the chance to represent the student body next year.  Each of the candidates would have done a fantastic job and we hope to work with all of them to implement their innovate and creative proposals.  We also have a number of ideas of our own, including working to foster greater school spirit, making foreign language tutors available in the tutoring office, and organizing an end-of-year trip to Six Flags.  We can’t wait to get started!
