8th Grade Art History Assembly

Yesterday morning, the 8th graders were treated to an Art History Assembly by Mr. Schlesinger, a high school Art History teacher, to further our current studies of Middle Eastern religions. It was very interesting to be exposed to architecture in his in-depth lecture, and it tied in very nicely with our Middle Eastern religion curriculum. We studied a picture of a Mosque, and we were asked to participate by identifying the purpose of different parts based on our new understanding of architecture. It was very fascinating to learn about architecture in this way, and I hope to learn more in the future.
