Student Assistance Fund
The Student Assistance Fund (SAF) was created to allow every Horace Mann student an equal opportunity to excel within the Horace Mann community and beyond. No student should be at a disadvantage because of economic standing. The SAF serves as a resource to supplement other sources of funding available to students. Any cost, either directly or indirectly related to Horace Mann, and not included in the financial aid budget may be considered by the SAF. The SAF's goal is to allow all students at Horace Mann a complete experience, both within and beyond the classroom. The SAF is not restricted to students who receive Financial Aid.
Much of the funding for the SAF is generated by the Lynne and Lizzie Koch ’05 Endowed Student Assistance Sunshine Fund. This fund was created in memory of an alumna and her mother. Additional funding is provided by the Parents' Association, the Alumni Council, and other philanthropic support.Questions about the Student Assistance Fund should be directed to Mrs. Lisa Moreira, Director of Institutional Research & Enrollment Management, at (718) 432-4115.
