Frequently Asked Questions about Tuition and Costs

Financial Aid

Horace Mann has a strong commitment to providing Financial Aid to students who could not otherwise attend. All Financial Aid is based on need; no merit scholarships are awarded. For the 2012-2013 academic year, 16.4% of the students receive more than $8,300,000 in Financial Aid.

Admission to Horace Mann is need-blind. Applicants are evaluated without regard to a request for Aid. However, because we often admit more students that require Aid than we are able to fund, admitted students do not always receive Aid even if they qualify.

For more information, please visit the Applying for Financial Aid page, or contact the Financial Aid Office at (718) 432-4101.
