While this web site will help you to get to know Horace Mann, nothing compares to a visit to our campus. Taking a tour, talking with students and faculty members, seeing classes and activities in action will all give you a sense of the excitement and energy that fills the school.  (If you can't come to campus sometime soon, check out our virtual tour.)

Middle & Upper Division Open Houses

Each fall, the Middle and Upper Divisions host several open houses to give families the opportunity to tour the campus with our Student Ambassadors and learn more about the programs. Open Houses are scheduled for evenings and weekends. (Families have the opportunity to tour during the school day at the time of the interview.)

Fall 2012 Open Houses

Wednesday, October 10th, 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 20th, 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 28th, 1:00 p.m.

Note- these open houses cover the Middle and Upper Division (Grades Six through Twelve) only, but families applying to the Nursery and Lower Divisions are welcome to attend.

The dates for our Fall 2013 Open Houses will be published soon. Please check back for updates regarding the dates.

Spring Tours- Middle & Upper Division

Each spring we host tours, led by Student Ambassadors, during school hours from early April through mid-May. For an appointment, contact the Admissions Office.

Nursery and Lower Division Visits

Nursery and Lower Division Open Houses are held in the fall for each year; please submit the inquiry form starting in May 2013 to be added to our mailing list to receive an invitation.  Tours of the Nursery and Lower Divisions are by appointment after an application is submitted for Nursery and Kindergarten.  Families applying for Grades 1-5 should call the Lower Division at (718) 432-3300 after September 15 for more information about scheduling a tour.
