The Experimental Biology Course
Mr. Reiblein's course is dedicated to providing Horace Mann students with an opportunity to experience scientific research, irregardless of whether the student is planning to make a career in the sciences. The skills required to do good research are really problem solving skills that will help any human being cope with the complexities of modern life. Although most science courses talk about these skills, they provide very little in the way of direct experience with the Scientific Method. This course provides the experience of doing long term, lab based biology projects; the outcome of each project is an extensive research report which we are including on this web page.
This web page is a first attempt at providing references for future students of this course; it is a simple way of storing and making available the reports written by Experimental Biology students and I hope that the knowledge stored on these pages will grow with each passing year and perhaps even prove to be useful to scientists and students from all over the globe.
